To cut your carbon footprint and keep our regions alive, the best choice is still a holiday in France! So we have decided to write a new section in our Journal : the fine and good addresses we love in France. We begin with the Cévennes, the region where our workshop is. A rare gem is tucked away close by our workshop, the Domaine du Verdier. A place as beautiful as it is peaceful, suspended in the mountains, facing the sun.
If you are looking for a place out of time, deep in nature, that brings together comfort and care for the environment, we warmly recommend going to discover it. The Domaine du Verdier is a very old Cévenol mas, restored with taste and care, beautifully at home in its natural setting, with modern comfort as well. It stands on the heights above Saint Michel de Dèze (between Florac and Alès).
At Le Verdier everything has been thought through down to the smallest detail, the materials are bio-sourced and nothing has been left to chance. Everything for a gentle and convivial stay: a natural pool, terraces with a superb view, a wine cellar, a reading room and a music room. When to go
In summer: to enjoy the river, the natural pool, walks in the forest, drinks with a lovely view, the warmth of the day and the cool of the evening.
In autumn: to enjoy the mushroom and chestnut season and to admire the russet colours of autumn.

In spring: to walk, to restore yourself, to pause for a long weekend as the fine days return.
There is a great deal to discover in Lozère if you like outdoor activities, cultural and historical discoveries and walking.

How to get there
The Domaine du Verdier is 70 km from Montpellier and 20 km from Alès. You will need a car to get there and to travel around the area.
