The fleck comes from the weave: a blue thread and an ecru thread crossed, so the colour shifts with the light and marks of use do not show. Linen dries glasses without leaving lint and dries out quickly itself, which is why it is still the cloth of the tea towel. 60 by 45 cm, exactly the linen of our napkins. Flecking has a precise advantage in a kitchen: the colour, speckled with light, does not show the marks of a day's use where a plain blue would put them on display. This is the tea towel that stays presentable between two washes. Easy to hang in the kitchen, to dry your hands or to wrap the day's bread.
The ecru embroidery takes up one of the two threads of the weave: a first name or the name of the house reads without cutting across the cloth.
