Aprons Bistro Honey: personalised embroidery, made in France
Honey is a warm, deep yellow, that of a chestnut honey. In a kitchen it is a colourway that holds: pale enough to lighten a dark room, deep enough not to show every splash. A white apron does not survive the first tomato sauce.
The tone on tone of the embroidery is a decision. On a garment, a first name in violent contrast looks like a company badge, whereas here it reads at a metre and blends away beyond. The belt goes twice round an average waist, enough to tie in front rather than behind, and the apron comes off with one gesture when it is time to sit down. The bibbed cuts are in our aprons.
