Honeycomb drinks fast and dries fast, and that is what separates a hand towel from an ordinary tea towel. A small loop sewn at the back hangs it on the oven door or beside the basin, where it stays within reach. 45 by 42 cm, hemmed on all four sides, washes at 60 °C. Hand Towel: personalised embroidery, made in France
Honeycomb is a cellular weave: the cotton thread forms small raised cells that multiply the surface in contact with water. The hand towel drinks faster than a flat cloth, and it dries between two uses instead of staying damp all day, which is what keeps it from taking on the smell of a forgotten tea towel.
It serves in the kitchen as readily as in the bathroom, hung by its loop from the oven handle or the hook by the basin. Embroidered with a first name or a short word in red, it makes a housewarming present. The washed linen tea towels, larger and finer, are in our tea towels and hand towels.
