Rhubarb is a matt pinkish red, faintly earthy, that of the stalk and not of the cooked fruit. It is the colourway we recommend to anyone who finds blue too well-behaved and bright red too noisy: it puts colour into a kitchen without becoming the loudest thing in it.
Washed linen has three qualities cotton does not have in front of a stove: it does not keep smells, it dries fast after washing, and it softens with time instead of tiring. The strap is adjusted once to your size and never touched again. The same colourway dresses our Burgundy napkins: the apron of the one who cooks and the table they lay then end up in the same tone.
