A personalised napkin in the rhubarb colourway, in washed linen embroidered in ecru thread in our workshop in Lozère. It is an earthy, slightly pink red with nothing bright about it: a still-life red, at home with wood, stoneware and autumn tables. The ecru embroidery is the only pale note on it. OEKO-TEX certified linen, 40 by 40 cm. Personalised with a name or initials, made in France.

Napkins Burgundy: personalised embroidery, made in France
Rhubarb is a seasonal red rather than a festive one: pinkish, dusty, the red of the stalk in the vegetable garden. Washed linen makes it softer still: it can be laid on an ordinary day, where a bright red makes a celebration table at once.
It falls right on wood, stoneware plates, squashes and dry foliage, and it serves a November dinner as well as an Easter lunch. The ecru of the embroidery is the only thread that stands out from it plainly without bringing a third colour to the table. The same colourway comes as a placemat, a tea towel and a tablecloth; the others are in our napkins.
