The blue is frank, almost electric, and the gold of the embroidery is the only contrast that holds against it: together they make a table laid for a celebration rather than for a Tuesday. Napkins Blue Gold: personalised embroidery, made in France
Royal blue is the most saturated colourway of the range. On washed linen the irregular thread gives it sheen and depth, and it goes on an ecru or a white tablecloth rather than on a table that already carries colour.
Gold is the only thread that holds on a ground this dense: a white thread turns grey on it, a pale thread goes out. Gold keeps its relief, and that is what makes this a napkin for entertaining: New Year's Eve, a wedding, a birthday dinner. For the same colour every day, the Blue White version is embroidered in white. The other colourways are in our napkins.
