Pack 4 Beige Gold Napkins: personalised embroidery, made in France
Beige Gold plays on three colours and not two: the beige linen, the gold thread, and the pale pink of the overlock running round all four sides. That third tone, which you only see up close, is what carries the napkin from ordinary linen to a table laid for guests.
Hence the use most often made of it. Four napkins embroidered with the initials of the newly married go into the linen drawer and come out at every big table ten years later: the present that outlives the list, when the rest has been replaced or broken.
