Washed linen gives this green a matt quality cotton never reaches: the colour is powdered, it never shines under a pendant light, and it darkens only barely over successive washes.
Lime is the most asked-for colourway of the range, which has a practical consequence when you take only three: it is the easiest to buy again singly two years later, with no fear of finding it withdrawn from the catalogue. A service begun with three can therefore end up at eight, with no difference of shade between the first and the last. The set of four and the matching tablecloth are in our napkins.
